HOURS

The Company will pay your salary on the last day of each calendar month by bank transfer, as stated in your contract.

From your gross salary National Insurance, Tax, a Pension contribution and other relevant payments (e.g Student Loan) will be deducted in line with legal requirements.

The Company operates Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.

ATENDANCE

Our company’s official dress code is Compass branded items such as t-shirt, polo shirt, hoodie, fleece, jumper, gilet, coat and bobble hat.

Mixed with outdoor specific trousers / shorts and a sturdy hiking or snow boot. This should be complimented by a full set of gore-tex waterproofs (coat and overtrousers).

Other clothing may be worn underneath what has been outlined above during those colder months. If it keeps you warm, wear it.

Probationary Crew will be given branded items on successful completion of 90 day period as a right of passage.

They should aim to follow the above outline but without the brand present. Crew’s position may inform how they should dress.

If Crew’s role is indoor they should follow the above outline, but consider other leg and footwear they deem comfortable.

There is no expectation for Crew to be immaculately clean with their outerwear. You should use your common sense here for when to wash clothing.

We also permit grooming styles, clothing and accessories that are dictated by religious beliefs, ethnicity, disability or personal preference so long as they do not hinder safety.

We allow use of mobile phones at work to carry out your duties. We also want to ensure that your devices won’t distract you from your work or disrupt our workplace.

We ask you to follow a few simple rules:

  • Use your mobile in a manner that benefits your work (calls, work apps, calendars).

  • Keep personal calls brief and take yourself away from others as not to disturb play.

  • Avoid playing games on your phone or texting excessively.

  • Avoid using your phone for any reason while driving your vehicle to and from work.

  • Don’t use your phone to record confidential information or during meetings.

  • Immediately delete images and videos of the Tribe following observations.
